6.4.3 Product offset

Figure 1.

  1. Displays standard settings for offset

  2. Ground contact point

  3. Product offset

Distance between the ground contact point and application point.

This measurement together with the measurement in the field for Connector Offset X (see D in Figure 1) is the same as the distance from the hitch device to the seed coulter. Units are given in cm.

Setting functions and delay

  1. Section shut off

    • Yes

    • No

    • Sync with Seed/Fertiliser/Biodrill

It is possible to allow multiple products to be controlled by the same on/off signals. Products with section control via GPS can be synchronized with other products. i.e. if section shutdown for seed is set to Yes and fertiliser is set to synchronise with seed, then the section shutdown for seed will control both seed and fertiliser.

This may be relevant if the terminal cannot handle the current number of products on the machine.

  2. Variable sown amount, Yes/No, controlled sown amount with GPS.

  3. SC Turn On Time = Time compensation for seed transportation (switch on)

Example: If it takes 4 seconds for seeds to reach the application point after the motor has begun to rotate, then the setting in this field will be 4 seconds. This means that the motor begins rotating 4 seconds before expected switch on.

  4. SC Turn Off Time = Time compensation for seed transportation (switch off)

Example: If it takes 4 seconds after the motor stops rotating before the seeds are emptied into the system and stop feeding out through the application point, the setting in this field will be 4 seconds. This means that the motor stops rotating 4 seconds before expected shut off.
