If the metering units do not move:

Check that the toothed coupling between the hydraulic motor and the feed shaft is in the correct position and intact.

If the alarm appears although the seed meters:

Check the alert time that has been programmed.

Check the sensor. The sensor is located in the tramline coupling:

Check connections and connectors to the tramline coupling.
The sensor in the coupling could be defective.
The coupling could be defective. Check that the roller in the coupling is rotating with the feed shaft. The roller should rotate when tramlining is off.

If BioDrill is not in use:

Turn off the alarm function. Go to the programming menu on the control unit and switch off BioDrill.

If the metering units do not move:

Check that the toothed coupling between the hydraulic motor and the feed shaft is in the correct position and intact.

If the alarm appears although the seed meters:

Check the alert time that has been programmed.
Check the cables, contacts and connection.
Check the operation of the sensor. The sensor LED should light when the toothed plate passes. The distance between the sensor and the pulse disc must be 1–2 mm. Adjust if necessary. An illuminated diode is no guarantee that the sensor is working properly.
Check the condition and installation of the toothed plate.

If Gateway loses contact with WorkStation 1 during operation:

Check the cabling between Gateway and WorkStation.
Check that the cable is not trapped or otherwise damaged.
Check the condition of the connectors.
If the machine has a WS2 —check the connector on WS2

270. Interruption to communication

For some unknown reason Gateway has lost communication with the terminal, e.g. if the terminal has been switched off or the iPad has been out of Wi-Fi range. Acknowledge the alarm in the alarms menu. Feed stops.

Check the cabling for supply voltage to the terminal and the cabling between Gateway and the terminal.
If the iPad is not communicating with the dock, check whether Bluetooth is enabled.
